My name is Salma Shakir and I live in London. I have been a potter for most of my adult life.

I love forms and shapes and am inspired by traditional pottery from all over the world and through history

I am predominantly a wheel thrower, but use various hand-building and casting techniques.

Colour is an integral part of my process. I am currently testing glaze recipes for future use.
